GIG OF THE WEEK
Chocolat
Eastgate Festival (ends Sunday)
Though this gig guide usually celebrates the delights of an aural and visual kind, this weekend represents the opportunity for you and your family to tantalise a different set of senses altogether.
This weekend, the Chocolat @ Eastgate Festival invites you to savour a delectable combination of chocolate, cherries and coffee in a one-of-its-kind festival, designed to satiate virtually every sweet craving.
Visitors are invited to sample the wares of various stalls, or watch cooking challenges and demonstrations by celebrity chefs, chocolatiers and pastry chefs.
You might spot a famous face or two, as some of these chefs have showcased their skills on TV programmes such as Pasella and Top Billing.
Baristas will also be on hand for an introduction into the art of making coffee.
And the children can have fun too, with cooking work-shops in the chocolate corner.
